Dear Mp1 I think the moral of this story is stand up to people and always repay with love. The language features that shows sympathy for Wayan's mother is that she'll do anything for her son and when he comes back from sea he doesn't appreciate her. I think I can change the story so Wayan had come back from sea and he believes his mum that she is his mum and he doesn't drawn after the ship crashed.

This is my challenge,"Wayan, my son!" Kahlia screamed excitedly as she stumbled across the plank to the deck. "You have come home to your mother."

Dear Mp1,I greatly belive that the moral of the story is to repay love with love. These paticular langauge features create sympathy for Wayaens mother "poor widow","lonely widow" and"poorly dressed".
